Pennsylvania State University, Office of Physical Plant records, 1889-2010 (bulk 1970-2008).

The bulk of the collection consists of construction project files for renovations, new buildings, infrastructure, and utilities for all Penn State campuses. Project files include architectural plans and blueprints, maps, detailed specifications, proposals, bids, contract amendments, construction records, invoices, and financial records. The collection also includes records of campus stewardship including physical plant overviews and annual reports (1920s-1958), financial records including correspondence with the Pennsylvania Department of General Services (previously General Services Agency (GSA)), fundraising records of the Emergency Building Fund Campaign (1920s-1930s), and Lloyd Houk's survey data for Penn State properties. This collection also contains records of the University Park Master Campus Plan, including the University Sign Committee (1999), plus design planning records for campuses; some records related to environmental health and safety. Also included are 10 scrapbooks, as well as 12 reels of microfilm, and two aerial films of the University Park campus.
